Colour: rich violet red, with purple hues. nose: a young, elegant merlot showing redcurrant, fruitcake, a touch of spice and cinnamon forest floor fruits, sweet beetroot tones and soft vanillin oak. palate: sourced from blocks 2 and 52 from our seven scenes vineyard, this is a unique granite belt regional merlot style. fruitdriven, with a rich, juicy, mid-palate of intense plums and rhubarb. firm tannins with good intensity and well-balanced oak. merlot has excellent tannin structure, very well integrated across the palate.
