Taylors Masterstroke Cabernet Shiraz 750ml

Shiraz delivers rich and plump dark plum to the mid palate whilst blackcurrent, dark chocolate and mint characters from the Cabernet Sauvignon drives the finish.  Overall a sublimely complex and multi layered wine.

Taylors have always hung their hat on cabernet sauvignon, but it’s interesting how often the classic Aussie blend of cabernet with shiraz comes up trumps.

2017 Vintage - 95 Points - The colour is deep red-purple and there are lifted aromas of dried herbs including thyme, mint, sage … indeed, a full bouquet. The palate is elegant, medium-full bodied, with enlivening acidity, and a certain sinewy mouth-feel. Very appealing balance and length. The mint is subtle and effective. Huon Hooke
